Airbrush
An airbrush is a small air-operated tool. It can spray various media such as ink, dye and paint in nebulization. Spray guns are still considered as a type of airbrush. As a type of precise instrument, airbrushes can produce exquisite lines and gradual change effects. In the beginning, airbrushes were used to assist photographers and painters in modifying pictures. Soon new applications of airbrush are quickly discovered by people. Now airbrushes have a wide range of applications in art gallery, advertisement design, commercial illustration, cover design, advertising photography, wall calendar, painting, architectural painting and other fields. Airbrushes have strong artistic expressiveness and can create vivid images with delicate and natural light and shade and soft colors. With the rapid development of science and technology, paints used by airbrushes are becoming diversified and specialized. Airbrush techniques are a powerful expressive method in artistic modeling.

How to use an airbrush?
Tools required: air pump, air hose, water or paints, and power socket.
1. Connect one end of the air hose to the air outlet of the air pump. If the connection is loose, twine some PTFE tape to prevent air leakage.
2. Connect the other end of the air hose to the air inlet of the airbrush.
3. Insert the plug of the air pump into the power socket.
4. Keep the switch button of the air pump be ON state and press on the operating lever of the airbrush. Now air is let out.
5. Pour water or paints into the airbrush and cover the lid if it has a lid. Then press on the operating lever and pull back the operating lever. Now the airbrush sprays the water and paints in nebulization.

Airbrush's Common Problems and Solutions
1. The airbrush only sprays air without paints.
That is because the airbrush isn't cleaned thoroughly. Turn on the tail handle, loosen the clamp screw and pull out the spray needle. Use some alcohol to clean the residuary paints and then install the spray needle. Pour some alcohol into the paint cup and press on the trigger to pull back and forth or using your finger to plug up the nozzle to produce backflow. The last step is to wash away the left paints.
2. At the beginning, the airbrush sprays out paints.
In general, the paints are sprayed out only when the spray needle is pulled back. Therefore, the reason for this phenomenon is that the spray needle isn't inserted into the bottom. Turn on the tail handle, loosen the clamp screw and then force the spray needle to reach the bottom. The force should not be too powerful. At the end, tighten the screw.
3. The paints overflow out of the paint bottle.
For downdraught airbrushes, the paints are contained in a bottle with a hole on the bottle cap. If the pressure inside the bottle is larger than the pressure outside the bottle, the paints will overflow. Therefore, this problem can only be solved by adjusting pressure. Besides, make sure the bottle doesn't lean or be put in the opposite direction.
4. Sometimes the paints are sprayed out, but sometimes paints are not sprayed out.
For this problem, the reason is that when there is too little paint in the bottle, the suction tube can't touch paints. To add paints into the bottle will solve this problem.
5. The air output is too small.
If the air pump can work normally and the air output is small, please check whether there is air leakage at the sealing position of the connecting point. If there is air leakage, that is because the pressure is not enough, so the airbrush can't work normally. Wind some PTFE tape around the connecting point to enhance the sealing tightness.
